Dell, the top laptop and computer accessories selling company in India and around the globe is always up with its new and exciting range of laptops. This time the company has brought a different medium ranged laptop, Dell Inspiron 15R. This model comes under the Inspiron series of Dell. Dell Inspiron 15R comes with a second generation i3 processor manufactured by Intel. This version and specification of microprocessor is enough for giving impressive performance. However, Dell is planning to launch a revamped model with a second generation i5 processor. The clock speed of the present model is 2.1 GHz which is less however, the processor diminishes this lack. The chipset used is Intel HM65 Express. When we talk on the memory section of the laptop, the primary memory is expandable up to 8GB. Dell provides its customers with a 3GB installed primary memory i.e. RAM. The hard disk of this model runs at a speed of 5400rpm which is of the SATA type hardware interface. The dar disk capacity is 320GB.

The screen size of the laptop is 15.6 inches which is large enough for any laptop in terms of entertainment and gaming. The resolution provided is 1366 x 768, which is standard one these days. The screen delivers a crystal clear LCD display. The graphics memory of the laptop isn’t huge but impressive. It is installed with a graphic processor by Intel. Dell Inspiron 15R comes with a pre-installed Windows 7 Home Basic operating system instead of Microsoft DOS. This is another way of Dell to attract customers. There are several input devices used in the computer such as web camera, mouse and keyboard. Dell provides a 1.3 mega pixels camera which is very basic these days but is able to fulfill needs like video chat easily. Regarding sound, the speakers comes installed with SRS premium sound software which changes the sound quality to a high quality. For connectivity solutions, Dell Inspiron 15R has several options like wireless LAN, Bluetooth and Ethernet. The wireless LAN constituted in this model is Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 and Bluetooth version is 2.1 EDR.

The laptop has enough capability to deliver a battery backup of 4 hours inspite of such better performance. It comes with a 6 cell lithium ion battery. There are several ports like VGA, USB multi card slots, LAN and HDMI. The architecture of the laptop is 64 bits and has the following dimensions: 377.9mm x 244.9mm x 37.6mm. Dell Inspiron 15R is available in black color with blue color panel.

This model of Dell is surely up to set some records in the Indian electronics market. Some of its tough competitors would be HP and ASUS.
